Recycling program for fabric scraps in the garment industry

In the past, recycled prodcuts were limited in quality and served a communicative purpose. Currently, major brands have plans for practical implementation. Products with a minimum of 20% recycled,50% recycled content will be labeled with the GRS.

Global fiber production has nearly doubled from 2000 to 2020. The main materials are cotton, Polyester Fiber, DTY/FDY yarns, etc., leading to the extraction of resources at an enormous scale.

Vietnam is the third-largest textile and garment exporter in the world, after China and Bangladesh. The current situation of  surplus and waste textile products.

1. Correctly recover the value of waste, averating 18,500USD/year

2. Reduce waste per unit of product from 75g/pcs in 2020 to 51.1g/pcs in August 2024, a decrease of 31.86% after 3.5years.

3. Achieve the 5year KPI target of a 20% reduction as committed to customers.

4. Acheive the customer's target no incineration, no landilling, 100% recycling. 

5. 100% NCU(Non-consumer units)recover recyclable apckaging materials. 

6. 100% pass local environmental and customer inspections annually.
